What happens when you combined the two most ingenuous creative ARTIST/producers in the hip-hop world again, "The Gene Pool" EP They've done it again! Super Producers/emcees Illastr8ed and Grand Architect isolated the basic elements that made the first EP, "The Strain" such a success and enhanced that specific material. This time around the recording process was completed with lightning quickness with all 7 tracks done in the 7 days leading up to 4/20/2014. Double Helix unifies that incredible productivity and genuinely comes through proving the duo is capable of achieving musical goals. These artists strive to recapture the true essence of feeling inspired to make music. That part seems to come so natural, now the team focuses on incorporating more and more rhyme bending challenges. Songs like, 'Present Tense' and 'Give It Up' has the unsurpassed quality necessary to have significant replay value.
The Gene Pool is a classic analogy to display the blending of our people. Now the meaning takes on a whole new identity by using Hip Hop as a platform.
